i guess this article tells a lot about where we are affraid of the execution from a friend.
It was about 6:45 EST when thoughts of Karl Chamberlain's scheduled execution raced through my mind. I wasn't at
home and had no internet access. Hoping they would grant him a stay of execution as they did to Derrick Sonnier the inmate scheduled last week. Something about the protacol, the lethal injection issue. I was confident he would get a stay, despite his appeal being turned down by the high court. I suppose it was wishful thinking on my part. I had even sent him out another letter knowing it would not arrive until after the June 11th
date he had. Mail is so very slow from
Massachusetts to Texas.
I decided to call a friend and death penalty opponet, Annette Blankenship. She lives in Virginia, to see if she had heard anything. She hadn't , but assured me she would let me know as soon as anything came through. She immediatly accessed the internet with her
husband Donald, and began to text me whatever information they could find.
