I was listening to the radio on the way home from work yesterday. I heard a story that was so disturbing. I am just going to post a few links to the story...I was going to jump up and down and be mad, but I can't. DR or not, we all deserve to be treated with dignity.

What I think was cruel,they could not find a vien to begin the process, and spent two hours trying too. The two hours is insane, after 3 attempts all should have been shut down and inmate taken to cell.

I see this as a rare situation, and do not believe they will use this to stop the DP completely. They may come up with other alternatives for rare situations as this.

Two hours was completely inexcusable that is torture.

This story is horrible. The inmate should sue the state for cruel and unusual punishment. I think because of this, he should be get his sentance changed to life in prison. I hate IV's to start with, I cant imagine what he went through. I hope ASE reads this thread, I would love to hear his input.

i guess, that was my point. And it was supposed to be a wild ride for the title. I keep fat fingering the keyboard. If the Dp was abolised, then there would be no worrys about torture by needle, or prolonged time in the electric chair. I truly belive, the only way a death penalty should be allowed, is when the offender admits in open court and then can have that option.

We had a thread back awhile, where we had come to conclusion, if a DP and they are truely guilty, solid case and many are too, they should have options as to how to be executed.
Highly unlikely innocents would end up there, and hell with that Law Of Parties, get it off the books, it is ridiculous, and unconstitional law to ones rights.

I never understood, why they cannot if a DP, put the person under where they do not feel and are not conscious as before surgery,then the actual LI.


Some people do have what they call small dep veins or jumping veins under stress, and some their veins are collasped due to heavy drug use and shooting up.
What should be investigated is why it was allowed to go on so long, and how this particular situation will not happen again,

Pro or anti, or a half butt anti like me, (serial killers or terrorist DP I believe in for those only), the laws our courts need revamping for sure. That to me is where one rights are being stomped to death.

A troubling issue to be sure . The article about is sort of sickening . That at least one person a n walk out in distress shows something was very wrong . How a human can do what went on in that room is beyond me . I cannot imagine being involved and the psychological side effects . I would not be in the first place .
Any one who finds entertainment pleasurable humorous or finds this acceptable has crossed a line that puts them on the very same level if not worse as the condemned period . It is saying torture is OK as long you do not like is being tortured . And it shows that the DP is about revenge nothing more . For those who find this acceptable or get their rocks off on it you next !

That the prosecutor “retired” amid controversy AKA resigned is very telling . As in yep he did what he is accused of .

It is is time for a Moratorium on the DP and have a reasoned discussion of the legal and moral ramifications of the DP and the fact we have a very troubled legal system . Run by fallible sometimes corrupt individuals .

I think we should show from execution days from beginning to end . So every one can see what goes on why keep it hidden from the public is there something to hide apparently . If we did most likely there would never be another execution . Sure a few sickos will get off on it . That they need to be kept in a secure psych prison .

Just seeing what I saw men put in the death coach in chains or a family walk out of Polunsky after a last visit not easy to see at all depending on where I was .

As for LI one of any othe three drugs in the right dose is lethal . The only reason 3 are used is to make it quick and easy to watch . We can euthanize and animal with two drugs usual pentobarbital a chemical cousin of thiopental used to induice unconsciousness in LI . Petobarbital is fast acting and last much longer . Usually a opiate such as Morphine also lethal in very high does as well as inducing sleep and slowly depressing respiration . Yes it is slow but very peaceful if done right .

I doubt Pros wan t to have any real debate because in the end they will have to admit the DP is revenge nothing more and in some cases vicariously enjoy some one being killed . Just read what the post in public ! We can and do keep monsters locked up and out of human contact already . No one has escaped from the ADMAX , Polunsky or Pelican Bay to name a few .


Being anti DP does not equal being a DR groupie or coddling criminals !


Peanut I agree the law of parties needs to go it is not fair or just at all .
