normally they dont have babies this time of year, but they can.

it is also said they hide in dens through out the winter, here, i know for a fact are out all time.

I have found skunk spray to smell kind of like weed (marijuana) or funky armpit. Maybe a combination there of. I tend to believe they can get lost easily, especially youngsters as I had one walk into my house one summer evening because it was warm and I had left the door open leading to the outside patio. I was sitting at my desk and he just walked right in. I sat there completely still, afraid he would spray me but he just sniffed around and then luckily found the same door he had entered from and left.

well, U know they have weed that they call skunk weed and boy does it ever smell like that too.

baby skunks dont normally spray at a young age, its not tell they are older when they spray.

IF its not a litter of skunks under my mommas house, what ever it is, a skunk is trying to get what ever it is. the skunk sprayed under my mommas house and holy cow, the house stunk for days. the smell was so strong that it woke momma up and she heard the babies crying.

Maybe. I don’t know enough about them. This guy looked to be younger because he was small but he definitely had the markings of a skunk and he was holding his tail up so I wasn’t taking any chances with him lol. I was cooking dinner at the time so I bet he caught wind of that and was looking for food.

It might be weasels, possums or something else under your house if you haven’t been able to see them clearly. Raccoons can look like skunks when they are young. I don’t recommend going down there as you could get bitten and those kinds of animals can carry rabies. No fun to go through that series of shots. They might leave on their own once the babies are weaned. Then you can go down there and find the nest and make it less accommodating for them so they don’t return. If you store any people food or pet food in bags down there, get rid of it. That will attract them to build nests as well.

no, you cant see them, momma only smells her or him, the skunk that is and babies crying under there. as soon they leave, momma will be bale too cover the spot they can get under.

The animal I find really strange is the armadillo. Are they actually hard on the outside with plates or it just appears that way?
