This might be a question that even the moderators aren't sure about but perhaps it's been asked before and someone else can answer.

What about profiles that have been removed? I was perusing the female profiles for a Florida pen pal and I know in Florida they're not supposed to be allowed to solicit for pen pals so I was thinking maybe that's the reason that the profiles are removed, but it's weird because they just leave the picture there and it says it was removed. I was just curious if someone can tell me what that's about. Thanks.

There are a few reasons this could happen.

Perhaps the inmate has requested the profile be updated ,so it's been taken off the site until that's been done, ..

Perhaps the inmate has requested the profile be removed,as they may have "met" someone and may no longer want other people to contact them.

On some websites where the profiles were origionally posted years ago, there may an "expiry date" and profiles are deleted due to not being updated or the ad not being renewed by the inmate

Maybe the inmate has been released and no longer wants or needs correspondence.

I just thought it's weird that they show the pic and name but nothing else. I didn't get why it's not removed totally.
