I realize people can die from sleep apnea but I have had it and lived with it all my life... its not like a terminal illness or something! Wow, I am just in shock.

I just recieved the email from his brother, as I am sure others have too. He stated Cherokee has passed away. No information yet on where we can send cards or letters which I did ask in my email to him.

Osiyo~ I am going to write one letter, and then send to all of those who asked what happen. Josh "JD" had his surgery Wednesday and things went fine. He seemed up beat even though in less then a month he was facing a pretty hefty sentence. We seen him Friday morning, and he was in a lot of pain, seemed real tired and weak. We talk to his doctor and he said, it was all post surgery effects. Well about 7pm last night we get a call we need to get right to hospital. My heart was in my throat because they won't tell you anything over the phone. When we got there we were met by a minister, which seeing as how we follow a red road we found odd. However he escorted us to a small room and informed us Josh had a reaction to some medicine, had a grand mal seizure and died 10 minutes before we got there. Generally I would not take time to inform strangers of such a tragedy but he talked about you all, and how accepted he felt despite his record. He smiled a lot more then we ever seen him do, and loved his letters. This is really very difficult for my wife and son. Travis is only 4 yo and can't understand where his buddy is. Thank you so much for bringing some happiness to Josh, I don't believe he ever had much of that feeling. Mike PS Josh was not someone who played games, and I am only even informing you all, because in short time he was on here he felt accepted and like he had friends.

Thank you for all condolences I am sorry for not getting back to anyone sooner, but my wife is hysterical this is third brother lost in one year. This will be my last post but feel free to email me, when the obit is posted I will try to inform someone so you may see it as well.

I know we all want to share our thoughts and prayers with Cherokee. I think it would be better if we posted them on his profile as a profile message as opposed to a thread that will get buried in the archives.
