We are having effects from Ike - due to the scare about the oil refineries, etc., the price of gas here is rising - the gas stations are over-run with folks trying to fill up before it goes up either further - or in the event we won't be able to get any for awhile. Many stations already out of gas.

Everyone in the the path, please take care of each other.

They just brought that up on TV, gas now 4.85 gal. Due to this, fast effects.

Now the ones who did not heed the "mandatory evacuations", are saying, they now see why" it was called for. !!

WE made it! NO damage to house, ourselves, shed or the truck. Got power yesterday, and today internet service just got us hooked back up. Beautiful cooler weather here. We do have several tree tops in the yard, took care of one today with 20" hand bow saw, other when I find the energy. Hope everyone else is okay too!
