Britain has seen its biggest monthly jump in unemployment benefit claims in more than 15 years, according to official figures.



June saw the biggest monthly rise in dole claimants since 1992

The Office for National Statistics said the amount of people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance increased by 15,500 to 840,100 in June.
It is the biggest monthly rise since December 1992 and the fifth consecutive rise in the claimant count, the ONS said.
The ONS also reported that unemployment rose by 12,000 to 1.62 million in the three months to May.

i find it is a lot people not born and raised in the uk, they come because ther believe it belongs to them even though they never ever paid tax to my country

That is really unfortunate. We experience similar things here as well.

This is due to credit crisis, alot of companies making cut backs, so alot of people have been made redundant, due to threat of recession.

yeah it looks like we are heading that way, house prices lowering, job cuts etc etc fuel prices sky high, energy costs high, etc etc, banks have cut back on lending.
