I don't really know what to write here, but I'll live it a go. I'm a 23 year old male from Tasmania; Australia. I found this site through a friend. I'm in my final year of a Bachelor of Education degree and I'd like penpals/people to talk to outside of Uni/family.
I've never done this before, but I think it's a great idea. I like most things a 23 y.o does and I enjoy conversing online.

Ok so I'm a narcisist so I'll gladly post to this thread with probably more information about myself than anyone cares to know. My name is Todd. I'm thiry three years old. I started doing time when I was thirteen I don't even remember what for. When I was sixteen I stayed out ofjail but not out of trouble until I was twenty. Was in and out a few times and finally did a quick five year sentence. So far I've been out of jail for seven years and out of trouble for two. I have a two year old son now so my priorities have shifted a little. I'm on this site looking for people to write to because I know how mail call is. Although I'm saying this in all fairness; women have it much much easier behind the walls then men do. Maybe I'll meet someone special or maybe I'll just make some friends either way its cool with me. Meanwhile I like to play the games in the arcade section on this site too. While I was in prison some inmates found a loophole in the pell grant laws and a bunch of us got our degrees before they closed the hole. Once I got out I had my own businesses for a while and still slightly have some ambition but I'm taking care of my son during the daytime right now. I'd like people to know that when convicts get out they are kind of on fast foward mode and want to accomplih so much to make up for lost time. If taken advantage of it can be a great opportunity but your people have to be behind you. And the effect wears off fast! Well- peace

Tell about yourself,so I'm 40 years old my husband is serving his sentence in TX (still 10 more month to deal with that tdcj nightmare).
So I'm just writing him and my brother in law who is locked up in Fl.
We have met two years before he went in,having one daughter.
I'm german,living in TX for 9 years now.
Still having a part of my family living in germany,and yep I whenever I can I try to visit them over there.

Hello, My name is Leonora and I'm in the UK, I came across your site from another site PrisonTalk.com, I actually came across that site by chance, was browsing the web one day after watching America's Toughest Prison and just got curious about why there were so many men/women in prisons and what crimes they had commited. I am now so hooked on the channel Crime & Investigation, I know it probably doesnt tell you the whole truth about what crimes were commited. I dont even know if I'm on the right site but I would like to correspond with a few inmates I dont mind really male or female. I think mainly for me to just help someone pass the time or is it curiosity I am not sure.
I would like advice about how to go about getting in contact with an inmate to start writing to them. I'm not looking for a relationship (understanding the futility of the whole distance and incarcaration thing) I just want someone who would like to hear from me and just chit chat about anything really.
Am I on the right site?

Start to write someone whos locked up means you have to be pretty patient.Just introduce yourself in your first letter,like your hobbies and all that stuff.
You'll find the rules (mail and visiting) at the doc webside (where your pp is locked up).
