HI ALL... My name is Ken. I have only been posting for a few months but have cherished all the comments. I have been involved in exchanging letters with inmates for 3 years, some from WAP and several other sites. I am 60 years old and am a physician (naturopathic) with a private practice in South Texas. I am openly gay and have been partnered to the same guy for 39 years. No kids so far!!! Yes he knows and enjoys my wonderful inmate friends. We have joined together to assist one special inmate in his release from a 44 year w/no parole sentence. It looks very promising and hope to have him release into our custody soon. That will be "our KID". haha! He has proven to be worthy of our 2 year battle to have him released. My partner and I will be traveling 1800 miles to his hearing in the next few weeks. My correspondence with these guys has breathed new life into my rather routine life. Hopefully I have breathed freshness into theirs also. Thats about it for me... all are welcome to email me for any reason...email in profile. GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

Hi Everyone - First off my real name is Michael. Online I prefer to go by Angelus. It's for my favorie TV show Angel. I am a 29 year old, married, white male. I work in the wonderful (<sarcastic) world of insurance. I have 3 children - 2 by marriage and 1 by blood. As many of you know, I have been writing women in prison since last October. I currently have 6 pp total. 2 of which are very special friends from Texas whom I will be visiting in May. Yes - my wife is very aware of what i am doing, and the time/energy I put into building and maintaining these friendships. We have a very honest, open, and trusting marriage. Aside from my wife (and my pen-pals of course), there is no one else in my life that knows of my writing endeavors to inmates. Finding this web site has brought me much comfort, and I can't thank the friendly and knowledgeable members enough. The members here have really made me feel welcome and the insight you all share is priceless. Thank you. Angelus PS - I have been trying to post a photo on my profile and its not working? what am I doing wrong? I am using a jpeg link to "my photos".

Wel, I've been quiet for quite a while, but I'm back!!! heh, that may not be a good thing.... 19 years old, I'm in England, and I'm currently at university studying Mechanical Engineering. I only write to one guy at the mo' due to lack of spare time, but as soon as my 'plate' clears up again I hope to write to more.

Hi, my name is Philip, I'm a 44 year old Gay male in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. I have custody of, and am raising my 10 year old adopted son Jonathan. I was married for several years, and we adopted him at 1 day old. I work as a locksmith, and have been doing this for 28 years full time, I started in this business with my dad as a kid, and took over running his shop at 16. Since my divorce, I was involved in a very serious relationship with one guy, after a while, and a lot of regrets, we split, I made a choice then and there to remain celibate and find the person that would be my future, and the one I'd wake up with for the rest of my life. I choose to write prisoners, as a way to reach out and find out about someone, and make me care more. I never realized that I could actually find the love of my life. But after a lot of letters, and a lot of personal words, I opened up, and let someone into my life, and it feels good. I gave him my honest heart, and love. Unlike an akward first date, I became a friend, and no sex was ever envolved. We started with backgrounds, and found our lives touching, and now I can't imagine, me without him. I started writing prisoners in 2002 and still enjoy it, I do find that at times I find it too much, but usually manage to make it. I have found the biggest problem in writing prisoners is....Not falling a little bit in love with them, I can't explain it, but after a bit of time passes, you realize that in their eyes you are the only one that cares. In many cases, most i think, most of the guys have become estranged from family, friends, and everyne who ever cared. In questions or comments to me, please feel free to e-mail me, philipmcgee@excite.com My future will be good, and I'm happy to say that this experience is fantastic... Tex

Actually, I live in Canada but I don't know if I'll stay here very long... -35 degrees is a little too cold for my skin. But it's nice to finaly have all my family around. I share a flat with a friend in the old colonial part of Quebec city and it's pretty nice around here. I always have the feeling to live right on a movie set. I'm into all kind of art.
