From Pennsylvania Department of Corrections web site-
bis: Inmate Accounts

The Department of Corrections encourages you to put money on inmate accounts electronically using one of the following options:

JPay

Touchpay

Western Union

Please remember: If your friend or family member owes fines, costs or restitution, a percentage of any money you deposit (regardless if it is electronically deposited) may go to paying his or her debt in accordance with DC-ADM-005

Here is the link on jpay that shows you can send money and email to Waymart...

I know you have come here asking for help on sending money and many have tried to help you, but you also opened yourself up when you asked *Any other suggestions?* So i hope you are not offended by my comments when i am also trying to help.

All too often people send money early in a prison pen pal relationship and then complain they have been taken for a ride when they find out the *friend* only really wanted a meal ticket. I do not know the back ground of your friendship, so i maybe speaking out of line, but please if you have only been writing a little while or if the person is implying they are short on stamps etc i would advise you not to send anything just yet, because this way you honestly do find out in the following months who is genuine and who is not. Again we all make choices based on what we know and believe, my choice is to express to you what many others have experienced, but in saying that many are just in it for friendship and your gift will no doubt be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for all your help, me not living in the USA really is a problem if you want to send money.....jpay and others want you to sign up and thats only possible if you have a US address.

The only solution I could come up with is sending it to a relative in the US and let them put it on his account.

Ofcourse I'm a bit nervous about doing it but i really don't think he's using me. And if he is?? Well ..... it will be a lesson learned, sometimes you have to take chances.

Hey Sab99 you don't have to live in the States to create a jpay account. You just need a credit or debit card that's all.

Maybe I did it wrong but before you can use jpay you need to sign up. One of the steps is his inmate# and that was unknown, so I couldnt sign up. Or is there an other way?

Because I do have a credit card.
