Hey everyone i'm the college girl who was afraid after sending off my first letter for a number of reasons, but now i have gotten my first response, and alot quicker than i was expecting i don't think it even took a full week, and now all my fears are gone, gonna go write back a nice long response!

I had a great day today! I had sent out a few letters and finally got TWO responses! I must admit I haven't felt this "giddy" since I was a kid. Gosh, it kinda feels like hearing your name called when picking teams for a game...and it isn't the last name called. Both of them sound very nice and eager to make friends. Plus I have alot in common with both (based on my intro letter and their response). Hope Things work out well for Jewelzr4eva and my penpal writing.

I can't wait to get responses as well.. How long did you have to wait between the day your sent the letter and today ?
I'm in Europe so I know it's going to take a while

I sent my first ones through the email option the end of Septmeber. And got them two days ago. They are also on the same coast so there was not much of a postal delay. I had sent a card to someone on DR the beginninng of Sept and have not heard from him. May send another just in case the first got lost; otherwise will chalk it up to he has enough penpals.

Just got back from a week-end on the seaside, I bought a couple of postcards to send them - I feel so useless, waiting to hear upon them
