I seen that there are a fair few of us Brit's getting involved here, long as we don't start invading american prisons with jammy dodgers and copies of heat mag, then I think we'll be fine

I just wanted to shout out and say I'm Dean from Bristol, and I've just received my first response, I must say it was a weird experience as I wrote to someone on death row when it arrived I found myself not sure weather I wanted to read it or not (a bit like that red letter you know you're getting), well as you may of guessed I read it. Glad I did, found it an eye opening experience and made me re-evaluate some of my values in life, to the extent that maybe no human is worth giving up on and just because you've killed someone doesn't always make you a bad or evil person.

I admire you all for what you're doing, but I will say I hope the rest of the brits will understand that some of the sentences in this country are a joke, I mean 30 months for messing with/killing Children, thats just wrong!

I've just written another 4, and think I may be on my way to finding some interesting insights and perspectives on life I have not yet found. I'm trying not to research people and read too much into their crimes so I don't accidently pre-judge or assume anything about anyone, which I think a lot of people do until they've done something like this.

Hi Dean I'm in Gloucestershire.

Have to say, it is so good to see guys willing to write to American inmates. I know a lot of inmates say they spend all day around guys so they dont want to write to them too, but there are also a lot who would really appreciate male company that isn't laced with religious overtones and that is living a productive and law abiding life on the outside.

Hi Dean and welcome to WAP i am from Cheshire and yes you are right our judicial system is a joke, but that should not deter you from brightening a US Inamtes life i have 2 PP's both sentenced to natural life, Happy writing Dean it becomes addictive after a while addictive but productive

Yeah I think my opening line helped with my PP, I open with and appologised for not being blonde from California with big gazumpa's, and that I hope not to disappoint. When he wrote back he opened with, don't worry about the big gazumpas I've spent seven years without it! Glad to see he had a good sense of humour.
