I read a few other threads today that made me crack up. Some offhand comments were made about what other people think about prisoner penpals. I'm new to this thing, so I wanted to compile a list of the stereotypes.

So far, it seems like people think that prisoner penpals are...

• ugly
• lonely
• desperate
• old
• crazy
• weird
• sugar daddies/mamas
• stupid
• in need of sex
• prim and proper church-going ladies

and the list goes on...

But it's hilarious so far!

Anyone have anything else to add?

As for stereotypes
They all are european too .
All of them are women .
They only write DR prisoners who have committed horrific crimes .
They marry above mentioned Death Row prisoners .
They are all looking for romance .
They are naive .
Unattractive .
Have psychological problems .
come from abusive families .

Well i am non of the above i write to inmates because i can and because i want to i feel that those who stereotype others are stereotypical themselves and can't find which category suits them

i got 4 cats and im in need of sex lol,well actually no i dont need sex but a good spanking would be nice. you cant do that on your own very well, he was on DR but didnt commit an horrific crime and im from Europe so i guess i fit in the box. but i wasnt looking for romance just happened that way.
