From all of your experience do you feel as though they write to a lot of different people? This is all so new to me. Thank you all so much for your help. I hope I get a letter back. Also, I have decided to write to three different guys. All from different prisons. Hopefully one of them respond. Has anyone ever sent out an e-mail for their initial contact and not received a letter back? I live in the states and I am sending to guys that are also located in the states. On Tuesday the (20th) the letter should be sent out so hopefully they will get my letter within the next week. You all are so great.

I guess it depends on the law of averages, the more emails you send out, the better chance you have of getting replies.Although if they all reply it means you may have to write a lot of letters .

so keep a good stock of envelopes,paper and postage stamps handy just in case

You can't really know what to expect. Prisoners are people like any other. Varied. Good, bad, ugly. Some have agendas, some will lie to you, some will love you. Just like life. This site lets you see the crime they are serving time for, and before submitting to a friendship you should probably check them out. Trust but verify.

You're a nurse, you probably enjoy caregiving, I'm sure there are guys that would appreciate your time and attention, just don't be a doormat.
