You best bet is to send the post card by itself . When writing a person In TDCJ you should have their name and number on as well as your return address on every piece of mail . I would send postcards separately TDCJ frowns on blan or un addressed postcards . Oddly they allow photos the same shape and size of a postcard . My guess is some post cards have some sort of gang associations . That is why Micky Mouse shirts are banned in visitation a gang has appropriated him

If a letter is taking a month to reach an offender in TDCJ chances are he or she might be up to no good and is being watched by STG . Then there is DR and their gruopies who have been misusing mail so all of their letters are are least read many are copied . The same would be true for a verified STG offender . Despite those who think there is some sort of conspiracy ter is not TDCJ does not have the man power to do that . They can barley keep enough bosses to run the units. Some offenders are tagged to have their mail scrutinized and some letters might not get to them and many have large negative mailing / contact list because of abuse of mail not because TDCJ is out to get that person . Yes there will be mistakes on larger units . If you are writing DR on Polunsky it might take a while because of a few offenders / gruopies behavior and abuse of mail .

I'm sure it is. More than once it took around six weeks from Israel to my pp on Death Row at Union at Raiford, Florida, even though a letter to someone in Miami and not incarcerated took a week.

Holland here is the way I address my nephew`s letters to a Texas
correctional facility. Unless Holland requires a different format for mailing
letters, here in this country we do it as follows:

Mr. John Smith #1015532
Micheals Unit
P.O. Box 4500
Tennessee Colony, TX 75886

Now, my nephew`s name is written right in the middle of the envelope.
with the address just below.

Your return address should be on the left upper side of the envelope
right near the top corner.

Hope this helps.

I am in Milwaukee, Wisoncon U.S.A.

Ya . I have heard about this gang. They are called the Mouskiteers. They area an Orlando and California based gang. I heard about there O.G. Members, Annette Futachello and Frankie Avalon. Rumor has it those two started it out as a hard core surfer/ beach gang .

Latly though I have heard the gang now has broken off into sects such as The Jonas Bros. Rough crowd.

HAHA. Sorry ASE could not resist.

Good one Quint HA HA !!! . Though I think the Mousekeeters are past my time . The real gang is Mexican Mafia That is Why Micky Mouse is used . The MM . ABs also use cartoon characters and they can be banned as well sad really . A kid has no clue why they cannot weara cartoon chracter ona T shirt to visit a parent or relative

To Answer the question about post cards and return addresses. On a Post card . I just put my return address in a spot close to where it should be on a regular envelope . As long as it can be read it should get through .

I have not seen a return address on the back of an envelope so I can only make a guess . It might or might not get ot the offender . Writing to the US it is probably a good idea to put your return address on the upper left corner . That way there is not any confusion
