I just get a mail from PrisonCallsOnline and they say it is possible to let my friend call me from prison.
Connection charge will be $ 6,00 every phonecall and i have to pay 45 cents per minute. so 15 minutes will cost me $ 12,75
Does anybody know more about this company because i have to pay with a creditcard?

That's great news! I remember Zosja (she is from Holland too), gave me that link, when i try to find a way to call. But i dont see her anymore here. I know she was very happy with this company.

With the link I gave you lately, International Call forwarding | Call forwarding your US cell phone or landline to any country. Choose from a variety of U.S. cities and area codes you would pay about $1.00 for a 15 minutes call to your landline or $5.00 for a 15 minutes call to a cellphone. The monthly fee is $3.95. Much cheaper than PCO... I use it from France and I am very happy with it. Plus your penpal does not have to be allowed or anything, he dials the # like any US number. The application delay is very quick, within 24 hours you get your phone # ready to use. Maybe you should reconsider the question...

Thank you Bettyblue, i think you are right this is much cheaper. But i also think i have to ask first if he is allowed to call that number. Maybe i just have to arrange it and see what happens.

Hi,

New here too but travel alot. Have you thought about getting an international mobile phone? I have one that's based out of New Jersey, USA that I can use in Maastricht, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Delft etc.

Suggest you get a mailbox for the initial billing address to set up the mobile and delivery.

Private mail might be better for more details so we don't take space on this forum. My account is set up to accept private emails, hope to hear from you.

Kindest regards,

horsewithnoname

Karin104,

It's a great thing you've already got your US number! I don't think there will be any problem for your pp to use it. Did you make sure you chose your pp's phone area so he only has to pay for a local call? In regard of my pp I did ask for a US # in his phone area, and he just pays $0.37 for each call up to 15 mn. If you have troubles finding out the right area I can help you, just let me know.
Anyway, wish you good luck and hope you enjoy your calls!
Betty
