Does anyone write to prisoners at Northpoint Training Centre in Kentucky?? I have been writing to someone since April and getting at least 2 - 3 leters a month. My last letter from him was on 11th August, I have written twice since then and heard nothing. I wondered if anyone knew of any problems, or maybe my pp just decided not to write anymore.

they had a riot there a while back, a lot of inmates were transfered to local jails.

reading the KY website dont look like they were getting their mail, might be worth looking him up and finding where he is at now just in case he lost your addy.

After the riot/fire most of the inmates were transferred to other facilities in the states. I believe the mailroom was one of the destroyed buildings as well, so some mail could have gone up with the fire. I have 2 pp's in KY and they both commented on the new folks at their respective facilities

With recent drama I do not expect any mail from that place for a long time. I am trying other KY places.

Mail is running a day slower than normal into and out of Luther Luckett and EKCC. I expect its due to the added population. I can still send a letter and get a reply back within one week

Thanks for all the info, received a letter from my pp this morning, he was transferred and is well.

Its always nice to get a letter from our pp's. Did he give you any info on the riots/fire? There was not much news even on the local TV channels web sites.
Must have been horrible on the innocent.

He didnt say much, just that there had been a riot, that he was not involved and he wasnt hurt, which I was really pleased about. I ws on a website yesterday and they had a short video and some news about it, cant remember which one unfortunately but if I find it again will let you know.
