I got a call fowarding number through United World Telecom and was triung to get calls from a prison that uses GTL. THERE IS A BLOCK ON THESE LINES!!! They WILL NOT work with GTL. Do not waste your money, even the advance pay system through GTL does not work on these lines. Good Luck!

Hi Alan, I was just wondering if you've had this problem resolved yet?

My PP is in MCI Concord, and he called me for the first time two days ago (YAYYY!!!!) but he said that he's been trying to call collect me for months, and theres a block on my phone - but I can't even call GTL to set up an account, and I've tried to do it online with Western Union, but it won't let me because with the international call codes, it's too long!! So I'm going to send him a money order as soon as I can arrange one and he can just keep calling me that way. lol...

GTL really is a ridiculous company though, it costs my PP over $2 a minute to call within the US, but when he calls me, it's only 77cent per minute!!! And I live in AUSTRALIA!!! I think GTL really need to be investigated or something, because they are taking advantage of these inmates who don't really have any way of defending themselves except for through their PP's, and most of the time we can't get results either!!! *shakes fist at GTL*
