It's kind of sad, given just how old he is now, and his current state of health.
I doubt he'd cause any sort of trouble if he were released but it seems like JS wants to make an example out of him

The same thing would happen in the states. They're more concerned with looking tough on crime, than the human being.
Very sad for the family as well.

well me being older i do remember how he was living high on the hog in Spain having a great time with OUR money so to speak so i'm sure that still rankles
