The ways I can see and understand why Rose would've speak out is if she was physically abused, mentally abused by her husband. We can all see from reading the article that she was mentally abused by him as was everyone close to him.


When someone is abused rather it be mental or physical the abuser takes more from the victim then just silence and obedience. It's a power level they have over them.

She knew. Even if she couldn't speak out about it she knew. I'll probably get slated for saying that but there is no way you could live with someone that long and not know something was amiss. In saying that I know how mental abuse works and it's the hardest thing to stand up to the abuser, but deep down you know something is not right.

Well hopefully the desetable horror of a man will get what's coming to him and the family can have a somewhat more peaceful life.
