A convicted murderer who has spent almost half his life in prison is expected to be freed by the Appeal Court today after one of the longest miscarriages of justice.

It seems odd to me that he would confess to the crime of murder if he was innocent. Dont want to pass judgement but this man shared part in this misjustice.

You are all going to think I am obsessed with them, but the Guildford four(15 years in Jail), Birmingham Six (16 years in jail) and Maguire Seven( all served thier term, Guiseppe Conlon died in prison) all had confessions forced out of them and had their statements twisted beyond belief before their convictions were quashed as unsafe and they were innocent!! In the case of the Guilford four, the people who had done the bombing took responsibilty and testified in court that the G4 had nothing to do with it, and they still kept them locked up.
Take a look at Internment in Northern Ireland, It has improved only slightly, but back in the 70's and 80's the British Justice system was hugely corrupt.
