Default Innocent, but Executed

In his final hours on death row, Cameron Todd Willingham and his attorneys tried frantically to show the governor of Texas a new scientific report proving his innocence. The evidence was apparently ignored, and Willingham was executed on February 17, 2004

I think sadly the system has failed many, it is not about innocence or guilt. Money and color speak volumes in a lot of cases. What does one do to be heard when they are failed by the system that is set up to protect?

Seems final hour appeals with new evidence seem to be getting ignored a lot lately in Texas. The other being a judge who is on trial herself now, was closed at 5pm, the appeal went amoke in a chain reaction of not good.

This seems to be the first place to start in not executing someone who may be innocent. All appeals should not be a routine he is guilty, to just being a paperwork to exhange going on. Especially when it is hours away from one being executed!!

Sad and tragic this man lost him life and is proven he was innocent.

Sad also, whe an inmate does all that seems reasonable to be released, then another innocent is killed by them as soon as released.

Nothing is perfect and it certainly needs change, to prevent too the best of our abilities from square one, no tragic loss of innocent lives either side of this coin.

Although realistically there will be human error factor involved.
