I know many people from outside the US write to inmates there and I was wondering how many people have applied to visit their PP?

Were you refused for being overseas/not family? Or accepted? Did you apply by regular vistors list or for a special one-off visit?

I'm in UK and I don't anticipate visiting anyone in the near future, just curious. I guess it will vary from state to state (as usual!)

hi,
i'm from holland and want to visit my favourit pp in the begin from 2007.
he's in pennsylvania,and has put me on his visit list,i got 2 days vissiting,the sunday and the monday,because he only can have 1 visit in a week.
so the sunday is the end of the week and the monday the beginning.
and i can stay there from 8.30 till 15.30 so that is a long time(i think it's to short)but i'm happy with every single minut.

How many visitation days are there in Pennsylvania? If they have more days you can visit, maybe your penpal can write a letter to the person in charge and ask for more visits, since you're coming from overseas? You see, my penpal can only have one visit in the weekend, but since I've got special permission, I can visit the entire weekend. Just look into it, it's worth a try?!

I will be visiting my friend in America from Australia at the end of this month. Have spoken to the visiting Sgt a few times now and she seems really nice, was very helpful. She said there would be no worries with extra visits, but my friend had to apply for this not me, which he has done and will be ringing today if all goes well, and i will ask him then if it was granted and what extra days if any do we have.
