| A while back, I posted that I was going to go to Texas to meet my pen pal's mother. I have talked to her a number of times since then. She has two sons, both of whom are in prison. She is all alone and in very ill health. She fell and broke her arm in four places and because of her health they cannot operate to repair the damage. She was transfered from the hospital to a nursing home and will remain there indefinitely. She is unable to visit or write to the sons she loves. Only one is my pp, but I called the Chaplain in both units and wrote both of the sons explaining what happened. They wont even be able to call her. All the information they will get is through me when I call her at the nursing home. >>>> The other young man that so disappointed me when he got released by not taking advantage of the home etc. I offered, has been writing to me again. He is in jail and very sorry that he decided to go it on his own. A few months after his release he was in trouble again. He is waiting trial now. Another one is being released from Federal prison in a few days, headed for a half-way house. I hope he is successful and continues to write to me as he promised he would. For those who are new at writing to inmates, you can never predict the outcome of what you are doing for these inmates. |

| Your pal and his family are very fortunate to have you in their corner. It would be so difficult for them to not know what is going on in the other's life, but through you, they'll keep in touch. Hope it all works out. All we can do is be there for our pals and you seem to go the extra mile. You're a great pal to all of yours, past and present, and I hope they know they're very fortunate to have you.

| Hi CET, It is heartwarming what you do, you deserve my respect and love. I hope you pp's mother recovers real quick, although as i can understand it will be not easy. She is very unlucky that her both sons are in prison, I really feel for her, now that she needs her children the most, she can not see them, it is real sad. I hope that your other pp's how has to face trial again, will get a fair sentence, it is sad that they not take an outstretched hand for help, it could have saved him. I hope the guy how will be released will be smarter, and I hope he holds his promise, and keep writing to you. I whish you a very pleasant day CET, a lot of people could take an example from you.
