Default upcoming birthdays

I noticed on the front page of the website there is a link for those celebrating birthdays for the month.I would like to send some a bithday card but i can't pick an another pen pal right now.I wanted to know if anyone has done this--just sent a card and thats it?I don't know if this would piss them off if i only send a card with no further correspondence or would they just enjoy a card?I'm hoping someone can tell me thats done this before. Thanks in advance

I wouldn't do it. Presumably you would be sending a card to bring some cheer to the person ... but then you are telling them that you don't actually want to correspond ? I'm interested to see other opinions, maybe I'll change my mind on this.

Some sites run card programs and the difference there is the inmate knows its generated from that program and not a potential pp, i participate in a card program and some of the names i have put forward have recieved upwards of 30 bday cards/xmas cards...WAP doesnt run any program like that so getting a bday card that wasnt initiating a pp relationship would perhaps be a dissapointment or confusing, but it might also be warmly accepted a good percentage of the guys i send cards to do write a thankyou letter, and of course quite a few invite me to write to them.

A bday card could be worded to express warm wishes for there bday, it will confirm their ad is online and being read, and you can gently word that its just a bday wish and not an invitation for further correspondence, i include inspirational poems and often a statement that i was thinking of him/her on there bday, i see nothing wrong in doing this as long as its worded clearly

That's a good idea Squirell, just so long as like you said they know it was a once off thing.
I can imagine how stoked one would be, getting so many positive thoughts sent your way on any one day, let alone your Birthday.

I thought about this ... I would not want to receive a card from someone who wasn't willing to correspond with me. To me the card would mean nothing.
