I am soon traveling to the Netherlands...any world-wide travlers out here that could suggest lowest possible travel agengies to flights into Amsterdam?

Also...can American money be easily converted into Euro's from American Travler Checks, or Money Orders in the Netherlands, and or cash?

Also...Phone calls are costing 3 cents a min. from the Netherlands, using a international calling card. Does anyone know of any American phone companies that charge less than 3 cents per minute.

I really would appreciate anyone with information on travels to the Netherlands to post...thank you...gd4or

Ow yeah..to change your $$ into euro's shouldn't be a problem at all!Cheques,cash or whatever can be changed at any postoffice or other services.(GWK-GrensWisselKantoor,almost at any trainstation in The Netherlands- is the best for travelling cheques etc)

I was fortunate to go to Holland once - it was fabulous. Of course, I went during tulip time. It is a beautiful country and the people were very friendly.

I was there once few years back. Keep your wallet in your front pocket.I remember the first time i walk on the the metro from the bus stop when I arived in Amsterdam from England. I was the only white dude on the train. I was like what did I get myself into this time. It ended up being one off the best times in my life! I stayed in the hostel good place to meet people to hang with.

I wanted to thank everyone who responded to my post, and for the information, and the well-wishes I got.

This trip to the other side of the world is something I have never done...it seems like I have never given much thought that there may be interesting things outside the U.S., and to consider people outside America...silly me...I must have been living in a very small world...LOL

Still though...my trip that I am soon to embark on will very possibly become life changing for me, and I am certain her life as well...haha...(boy I am bold),

Deirdre...this beautiful woman I am soon to meet is willing to allow me, (this ex-con) to come to her to see and enjoy at least a month seeing her country, and the life she lives without reservations...what a special person it takes to allow that to happen.

I am not sure how this came about,nor do I delve to much into the "how" that things come about...nevertheless, with the attitude of deep gratitude...where-ever I am lead to...if I show my humility each day and act in a way that builds up others...how can I go wrong?
