JUst wondering, How many folk do you have to murder before being considered a serial killer? I was interested in writing a DR inmate who was in for multipal murders??? I searched his states inmate list and it just said he was in for murder 3 different ones hmmm anyone know how I can find out? seemed like a lonely man,but the whole thing is kinda scary to me.

good question. I don't know! My guess would be you would have to kill more than 1 person at different times.

Yes, to contact a serialkiller is a thing that scares...But, why just try it out? Say hello to him, I mean, you want a penpal, you don`t have to continue writing if you find him weired in any way. I would think, write to him if his ad speaks to you and just wait and see. Good luck!

I've read much about serial killers. True crime stories are some of my favorite reading. I think about the time the third victim is found and some kind of pattern is established, "serial killer" is typically bandied about.

Hmm..how can a friendship be meaningless?? Then it wouldn`t be one, right? But, that sounds like too much thhoughts and suggestions about things one can`t know before. If he is no "freak" he will understand that you have to write a bit until you recognize if he means something to you or not. Just relax and if this starts so complicated before the first letter then I would suggest to not write to him.

I was reading the board and was checking out the replies. I have never written to any of the serial killers. I also read a lot of true crime. It makes for an odd moment when I bring a date over to the house. I am also into History and Biographies and cookbooks. *LOL* Got the Jeffery Dahlmer book right next to a Crock Pot cookbook. So has anyone on here ever written to any of the serial killers or how about any of the prisoners whose cases were featured on Forensic Files, FBI Files, THe System, or Masterminds Etc. Etc.? I was just wanting to know if anyone writes to anyone who's case has been featured on any of these shows? I would like to hear your replies.

thanks lady, im gonna check that sight out! Bud nope never wrote a high profile killer, I know susan smith had asked if har name could be taken off the sight,but thats about all I know. I really dont know if I would want to write a high profiler, would seem kind of eerie to me ,but i would sure like to hear about it if someone else from the room did.

Ya know funny thing you mentioned that budman....One of my pen pals and i were having a little dispute and he asked me if i was one of those girls who watched those kind of shows and picked my pen pals. That's kinda crazy. I may be a mailman stalker but i dont watch the tv and write to them from there. My sister and i were talking the other night and one of my pals from ohio is in for murder and she said what if you seen his story on tv a long time ago when it happened, which i'm sure was publicized, would you write to him still. I dont remember seeing his story on tv or anything but at that time i wasnt into doing this...Then her and i got into that discussion. I said i dont watch the news at night to see who's going to end up in prison and pick my pals that way geesh what do they think i am some kind of crazy girl?? hehe
