one of my pp (in San Quentin) asked me to send him stamps and writing materials. This will I like to do.

I'm living in Germany and my question is:
How can I get stamps from America. Where can I buy them.
I have no credit-card but can pay with PayPal.

you used to be able to buy them online using USPS, but now you have to call and use a credit card, i dont know if you can use paypal when you call? might be worth contacting them and asking, if you like to be going on with i can send you a few stamps,

thank you very much for your quick reply. I tried to email for asking the usps but they want a zipcode and state (only from USA), but I'm living in Germany.
Oh, when you can send me a few stamps, is it possible? It would be a great help at first.
Perhaps in the future there will be an another alternative to buy stamps, because it would not be a single time to send stamps to pp in prison.

Hi i can send you 40 stamps, there 42cent ones, thats all i can spare until my next order your welcome to them, they can be in the post tomorrow if you want to pm me your addy, its ok i wont come and get you lol

Maybe I am jumping in a little late... I don't have a credit card per say here in France, I have an international debut card, which means I can pull money out with it from money dispensers anywhere and I can but from Amazon etc. with it... But it is a debit card as it pulls money from my account rather than adding up to a bill I'd have to pay at the end of the month.
Sooo, maybe you could use that kind of card from Germany ? And it would still work... If you can buy stuff off the internet with your German card, you're fine.

I know in the US you can get international postal coupons for different countries but I don't think that would help the inmate since he can't get to the post office to use them. Just make sure your inmate is allowed to have stamps. My Penpal can only receive the prestamped envelopes because he is not allowed to have stamps.

I'm afraid that I don't have any "answer" to this question. There was a brief period of time where someone, in Canada, would send me money and I would purchase U.S. stamps to send to her PP. As I recall, it must have worked, although I was never very comfortable with doing it that way. Postage stamps are just like cash and when you send them into a prison, they may pass through many hands. There would be an awful lot of temptation to steal them.
To me, the perfect solution would be to send money to your PP and let him/her purchase their own stamps.
