where is everyone?
usually when i used to come to WAP after a while there were zillions of new and interesting posts? where is everyone? what's happening??

I am good, gobbi, how are you? I guess the most exciting thing lately with my pal on DR at San Quentin is that it looks like he may possibly get a new trial!!! He's got two terrific attorneys and a great Social Historian. They really seem to be working on his behalf. He may get the new trial because it has come out that he was NOT properly represented in the first one. Not too much going on with the others right now.

Anything going on with your pals? Do you still have a whole lot of them that you write to?

mo, i write to 12 at the moment, but last week, i had two new letters from two girls in a prison where they had obviously got my address from someone else in there. (they did say so, and they did tell me who) - i am a little sceptical about writing to three ppl in the same prison, esp on the same wing, as i had a problem when doing that before, with jealousy factors and so on.
I get on well with all my pals, but obviously some a little more than others. some we write and chat and then a few of them write more than one letter before gettin the other and so on, sometimes two of them write loads of letters and i write a good few before receiving another from them. know what i mean? there is just a great communication factor there...

Yeah gobbi, I'd be skeptical about writing to more than one in the same facility - mine are all in different states. I've actually been thinking about getting one more, maybe a woman, because right now I only have men. I found someone else I was interested in writing, but he's at SQ (not DR though); and my special pal is at SQ death row. So I haven't done anything yet.

I think you are probably ok with one DR and one non-DR. You are wise about different states. A transfer is about to come back to bite me in the butt. I just know it.

Thanks, cretin. I figured the chances of them knowing each other would be slim, especially since I know death row has about 645 guys, and they're in a totally separate building from general population. The only thing is, the new guy, whose ad really jumped out at me, is probably getting released wihtin a year. I haven't quite made up my mind.

Is one of your pals getting transferred to where another one already is? They don't know about each other?

Yes, that is correct Moe. They didn't ask and I didn't offer. If they had, I would have answered truthfully. I just didn't feel that offering up that info served a purpose. So I'm not looking forward to how this will all turn out.
