Hi everyone, I know this has been brought up before, but I want to know if there is a way that I could get collect calls, but by using an outside source. I have my phone service through my cable company. The cable compnay does not let collect calls go through because they have the one flat rate thing. I don't have a problem with paying for the collect calls, but I was just wondering if anyone knows of a way that I could do this. Thanks in advance. funloving@optonline.net

do you know which company to use for the calls to go to my cell phone i have been looking and i do know it is possible to have the call ring my cell phone always at work and hate missing them calls thanks for any help you my have to offer

In Australia we have "call forwarding" You just call your phone company and arrange it. It diverts all calls from your home phone to your mobile phone. I have done this so I dont miss any calls too.

I think both of you have the same problem just coming from different directions.

April...you should just have your Pen Pal call collec direct to your cell phone number...it hasd nothinbg to do with the cable company.

Tammy...you can just call forward your home number to your cell phone...that way all the calls that come into your home phone are automatically routed to your cell phone. You don't have to sign up with a separate company to do this...although your telephone service provider will probably charge you a couple of bucks a month on your phone bill for the service.

thanks but i did know about call forwarding i just didn't want to do that as i will be charged for all the calls that go to my cell phone and i only want the calls from my pp i did see a place that will transfer the call from your pp to your cell phone i just don't know where i saw it at but thanks for the info tammy

Pooh you get charged if your home calls get forwarded to your cell? The only problem i ran into from jump was it eats up your daytime (anytime) mins on your cell but i just changed my plan which allowed me a ton more anytime mins for those daytime calls for only 20 bucks more a month.

by the time my job gets done with me i am paying for all my calls to my cell... i am an on call nurse and i also do home to home visits throughout my county i already pay way too much for my cell and i do have them anytime minutes but work does eat them up (i'm paying over 100.00 now for cell) gotta love all this new electronic stuff these days oh well just have to do me some surfing again and see if i come across that site again but thanks for the info tammy
