I am going to post some information given to me in a response letter today 8/13/03 from soneone located in the Hardee Correctional Inst. in Bowling Green, FL. "As of now inmates in the state of Florida are no longer allowed to have ads placed on the internet. I guess they just don't want us to have any type of contact with the outside world. It's a new rule and I am sure they will change it as soon as someone puts in a civil suit on them, so I doubt I'll be renewing my ad." This is proof that the the word is out and people in this specific location have been told not to place an ad on the internet or be punished in some way.
I took the advice I read here in one post that said not to mention a site or pen pal in my response letter that I mailed today and hope there will not be any problems created on my part for somone else. More personal comments were made but out of respect I did't post them here. Roger

rscott - Thanks for the post. Any and all information that we can gather that disproves what the State is telling the public is a huge help in fighting this rule change.
