Green Mile (or something close) with Tom Hanks. Its a long one but well worth seeing.

Shawshank Redemption is my favorite movie. Tim Robins and Morgan Freeman both are incredible in that movie. That movie brings back sweet memories of my father. He and I use to watch that over and over. I always get teary eyed when it comes to my fathers favorite parts.

Dead Man Walking with Susan S. and Sean P. is a good one too.

The Life of David Gale, interesting movie with Kevin Spacey re: the death penalty.

I think that most movies listed here are good entertainment, but as a whole, they don't really reflect life beyond the wall.

Let's face it, the harsh truth would be that these movies don't equal the true prison experience.

Shawshank Redemption, I liked it, prison triumps like that don't really happen, do they ?

Life of David Gale, great but too political, even though I'm anti-death penalty, I thought it shoved that message down your throat.

I guess what I'm saying is, movies are hollywoods ideas, not reality.

No movie ever captures actual real life to the T, Tex. Booty was just asking for some movie titles, not every post has to be analyzed. *grins*

I've seen The Green Mile about 10 times and I've never been able to watch it without bawling my eyes out!!
