I tried to set up an ad for a friend in jail.

I got the receipts/confirmations by e-mail that the payment had been received (although maybe not processed) and then that the ad information was received.

That was a week ago and the ad has not shown up.

How long does it take to process and post an ad?

I do not want to hassle whoever is in charge or doing that since I think they are doing a great job with the site and do not want to interupt their work.

Thanks.

Hi WelcomeHome,
I'm sorry, but I can't help. I have placed an ad, for my PP, on WAP, three times and I have never received a notice that the information had been received. Maybe it gets sent to her. I will have to ask.
But, I am thinking that it might take about a month for it to appear. I never really paid any attention, I just waited for it to show up. :-(

I listed my guy's cellie, and it took 3-4 weeks before it was listed.

Generally, any delay in posting an ad might be related to the verification process. Most ad requests coming from someone other than the inmate him/herself must be authorized by the inmate. It wouldn't be prudent to assume that the inmate even wants the ad placed, unless he/she says so, regardless of who has submitted and paid for the ad.
