I was just surfering that lates, listing , and I see that a number of women inmates, have no photos, I wonder why they can't use that intake photos, yes they are not all that good , but something would be better than nothing. Just asking that is all.

Can't afford or don't have the opportunity? I'm sure you know that some states allow you to look up the rap sheets and they have the intake photos (mug shots). In one instance, I was shocked, and had to look at the photo very closely to see it was the same woman. In another one, the woman looked like a sweet thing in her ad photos, but in the mug shot she look like she was either crazy or high.

I guess the intake photo shows what they look like at the lowest point in their life. On the flip side, one woman's intake photo looked as if she had stopped before the photo to put on her makeup. It was so funny.

I have seen 3 different photo's of one of my PP's - the one on his Ad he is dressed up for a wedding and looks completely different to his intake ad. Also I've seen a pic from his local newspaper when he committed his crime and his heads almost completely shaven when he had a full head of hair in the other 2! I've written to him recently to ask which one is the closest resemblence to him now. It is weird sometimes when you look at the intake photo - I agree that it shows their lowest point and I think of a lot of people perhaps with those picture wern't so easilly avaliable?

I don't believe the inmate has access to their intake photos.

Some units allow inmates to take photos, whether at visitation or not... and some can only be taken once a month at visitation.

So..... if they don't have a visitor they don't get a photo.

I think they should be allowed a photo here and there for family and friends.

I have to laugh when I read this, take Kathy for instance, on her ad, she is the most beautiful woman I have ever known. When I finally saw her rap photo, I thought wow she don't look nothing like her other photo. I have to laugh but the only thing I really noticed was her nose, with all due respect she has this great big honker! Anyways, when I finally met her, wow she was more beautiful than her rap or ad pic. Don't go by rap pics, I think someone said it these were taken at their lowest part of life. Than again, they must have retaken her photo on the rap sheet again, because they posted a new one, and man is she looking HOT, I can't wait til our next visit!

I don't have a lot of photos of myself (well, not until I got a penpal !) and if I were arrested, convicted, and sent off to prison, I guarantee you my intake photos would look like absolute sh*t and there's no way I would use them for a WAP ad, but I wouldn't really have a good alternative either. That might be the case for some of these ladies ??

I bet it is look at some of the stars that have their photo's taken when they are taken in .At the time of their arrest they sure dont look like stars .
