Default OTIS or possibly Mike In pa... Correspondance chess

Hello... I am sorry but I just saw the email you sent me yesterday about my posting here for you to email me. My computer recognized it as spam for some reason. Who knows???

What I am wanting to know is where I can get the info to play chess in the mail with an inmate. I have never played before in my life. LOL... I am asking for a beating I guess. But it should be fun and definately worth a try. Is there anywhere that I can find info to do this online or do you have any hintsd on telling me how to set up a board for us to play on and explain how the moves are set up and done. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you have a link you can send to me or something, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :0)
Oh... by the way... my email is majesticangel518@aol.com

BabyGurl:

Check the thread "correspondence chess".

I believe "otis" provided several links to chess sites that would be helpful to you.

I love chess but didn't understand Mike's way of mailing the board for a response back. Guess I'm a visual kind of bunny. *shrug*

That's what I am wanting him to explain to me or maybe he has it stored on the computer and can send it to me (us*) since he does print it on cardstock. We'll have to wait and see. I need a visual myself. LOL...

What I do is I keep track of the moves on my computer and print it up for the inmates so they have an idea of where I am at on the board, that is easier for them, but a good site that even teaches you to play chess is chess 8000, I don't know the web site, I will find it later, but it also has quizes and exercises to do to understand the game, I like it because it is challenging and it passes the time away for the inmates, it takes many moves to check mate a king, and I think the inmates likes that challange, especially when playing a women! I hope this helps you. Peace, Darlene

BabyGurl:

I'm not a chess player, but maybe this site will help:
