HELP HELP HELP i am having such a hard time trying to find a way to get to ray brook new york, or even lake placid from rhode island, i'm about to cry!!!!!could someone help me please...maybe i should just call a travel agent.....huh

I take it you're not driving so.....

Have you tried amtrak.com? greyhound .com? I'm not in the US so I can't help much as I know nothing about American public transport but I did find (from amtrak.com) you can get a train from Providence RI to NY Penn station, then a train to Westport and finally a bus to Lake Placid. It's not cheap tho'! Greyhound have a bus service from Providence to Lake Placid (17hrs!! with 2 transfers) It doesn't look very far on my atlas but that's probably the small scale ;o)
