I appreciate that myspace is a really great modern way of communicating with friends etc. But I have just been on a website where individual myspace urls have been included for those that are missing (having dissapeared in mysterious circumstances or feared murdered) or those that have maybe/or committed crimes. I guess...well it just feels that I shouldn't be looking at something so private. It's different if you are friends or have been invited to look at the page but as a stranger, well it just feels wrong. What do you guys think?

I know what you mean Rose. I am also on another site where every week someone has a "MySpace Criminal Of The Week", and will include the link to someone's MySpace page after they have committed a crime. It's pretty tasteless if you ask me. However, we all have to remember that ANYTHING we put on the internet is there for public viewing. I try to be careful what I put out there for that very reason.

| Rose, i know this might seem strange to many, but that is how i feel/felt about researching the Death Penalty in Texas. How you can not only read ones last words but find out so much information about the person. I felt like i was violtaing there privacy, if that makes any sense. I still feel that way about looking up the crime/s of your pals. If you only write out of friendship as i do, then personally i have no need to know any more than what our letters would bring. That will tell you what kind of potential friend you have found. Not what is on file. Obviously my belief goes against what many believe, but that's what makes us all so different. I know they are in prison, so are there for obvious reasons.

Hi Scott - thanks for that. I guess if I look at your site, it's because you have invited me via the forum. But yes, as you say, many just come across you on their cyber travels. I'm also surprised by how many people have myspace pages over there in the USA. Maybe it's reaching our UK shores slowly - as of yet, I don't know anyone who has a myspace set up amongst my friends.

above is my page link ha sorry i thought this was the previous myspace post thread I like it.. it's a great way to meet up with old friends at first i started it as a random online thing. to keep up with all my online friends from various message boards etc. but then it turned into reuniting with old mates from high school and that was really really rad

Hiya i am being soooo talkative this week yay me !! i was just wanting to say that i noticed some peeps dont like the idea of finding out what crime their PP's have commited! I am honest enough to say i looked up The crime that was/or wasn't commited before writing to my PP. I did this because the thought of writing to some one like say John Boltz or the "Railway killer" would terrify me! I think the fact that we have all chose to write to prisoners means that in some way it interests us or we feel we can help! So i think that there is nothing wrong with it! Ok i am done now lol xx Thankies xxx
