| Hey yall!!How are you all doing?Ok I take the PP program very serious. My older sister was wanting to write an inmate to try it out and use my PO Box adress. The thing is I am not going to add her to recieve mail because she lives in New York and I live in Alabama.I told her to get her own PO Box,but I think she may have already wrote someone.Since she wrote someone that means she had to tell them to adress the letter to me but that it was really to her.It had to be that way I suppose?Does anyone see why this real t's me off?I asked her if she wrote anyone in the prison's that I write and she did say that she didnt. Then she asked why.I told her that inmates can be territorial and I think she is too stupid to see what I am talking about.Am I wrong to be very angry that she did that?

| Am I wrong to be very angry that she did that? The only person that it matters to is you, but my thoughts are life is far too short to be cut up over petty stuff and for me this would be in that basket; and you said......*I THINK* so your not even sure what the deal is cause you haven't asked her (assume from your post) So it could even mean the person is writing her home addy?? Doesn't mean you don't have a valid right to feel as you do, but what a waste of emotions, why not think of it as helping not only your sister but her potential friend, what's the big deal anyway sharing a PO box?

| She's using your name? I don't see anything wrong with her using your PO box as long as she uses her own name. I get mail from an inmate at my PO box and they use the other persons name on the envelope and then when I get it I just send it off to the other person. |

| I understand that she expects you to mail all the letters to you? Perhaps just do not open them, mark them as wrong address (no one here with that name) and have them sent back to the prison! Or charge her (paid in advance) 50$ per batch to be sent to her about the cost of a Postal box... |

| If she has a valid reason being in another state to have it sent to your P.O.Box, then work something temp out with her for now. If you do not want it going to yours sure she will get over it, if you do what you have to, to stop it, just let her know. Or like Merrill stated, let her pay in advance the cost to forward her letters. Personally I would not appreciate it at all.

| Ok I totally did not clarify. She wrote an inmate and told them "you cant write me at home because my boyfriend will find out so write like your writing my sister, but your really writing me and send it to my sisters PO Box and she will send it to me and my boyfriend wont think anything of my sister writing me".This is why it p*s*e*d me offbecause I think that is wrong to do to anyone much less a guy who is in prison who wants to communicate.Thats like "dont call me Ill call you"in the outside world.Plus I dont want her writing a guy in the same prison as my PP,because what if he hears some other guy talking about the situation and my name? How do you think that would make him feel?

| It sounds like a very bad situation all around. I don't think that I would want to be in the middle of it, sister or not. But, it's really simple. All you have to do is tell her that you won't do this and send any correspondance back to the prison unopened. If she goes ahead and gets her own post office box, at least you aren't a party to the deception any more and are not enabling it in any way. After that it's her own choice as to how she handles things. |

| I would tell her to find another way to get her mail. She needs to be honest with all involved.
