How irritating. I really hate it when people come here to put down others. I mean really go away if you dont like it. And dont post if you think its dumb! Simple as that.

hey shelly, when you send an inmate a letter, do what mailing address do you give. Also, haven't ever been appreshensive when you send mail, in terms of the prisoner's intentions?

I personally use my PO box. And yes in the beginning I had doubts and it took me a while to decide to write to anyone. I am lucky in the sense that every one of my pals is great. They dont want anything from me except my friendship. They have never asked for anything, except information that they cannot have access to getting. I am not one to judge anyone for their mistakes. Lord knows I have made enough of my own. I have made some of the best friends in my life here at WAP. I dont think of them as prisoners, I think of them as individuals with names who are my friends.

Amar, YOU, my friend, are the very type that we at WAP have to sheild our friends and/or loved ones from. I have seen many of your posts here, and I have yet to see ONE POSITIVE COMMENT!

I agree with Shelley, if you don't like what we do here, if you don't feel that these people who are incarcerated deserve love just as much as the next person does, and if you think we're so 'silly' for wanting to write or receive calls from our friends, neighbors, family, ect, that just happen to be on the inside, then by all means, leave the board.

I saw where you posted "I can't believe people would actually use this site". Well, you obviously are using it, so what does that say about YOU?

I know I will probably be scolded by my fellow WAP members for this post, but I HAD to speak my piece. And just remember Amar, when you point a finger at someone to put them down or whatever, you will ALWAYS have three pointing back at YOU!

I definately agree with shell and florage's replies to this post. The people that i write letter's to are my friends and i have grown to care about and love them as they are individuals and human just like every one else. But I dont care what anyone thinks about who i write or who i go to see in my spare time... as long as im happy and im bringing joy into someone else's otherwise lonely and dismal life.

you actually raise a good point in this post, I haven't read the ohter yet, But I think that people should use an alternate mail box, you never know what the intentions of these inmates have. Look at what smuck is dealing with, I hope he will leave her alone, but who knows what his intentions are.
