Finally I get to brag too!! I got to talk to my sweetie last night. The first time in a few weeks! But he called with bad news. The cross I sent him only months ago was lost. He realized it was missing after a game of basketball. When he asked the guards if he could go look for it he was told no!! They said that they would go look for it but of course who knows, since he is in PC he only gets to go out at night. So by the next day, when he could go and look for himself, the general population had been out there, and of course he didn't find it.

Anyway I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what I could do. I'm pretty sure they probably don't have a lost and found in prison. But he was so upset about it that I feel like I should let someone know that the guards wouldn't let him look for it. It wasn't cheap but the point is that it was a piece of me and now it's gone. Sad, the guards have no compassion for that.

Other than that our conversation was great and I know am on that cloud that Kimbra and Sweets have been on. :0)

Any ideas or is it a lost cause??

Codysgal...I am so sorry to hear that the cross was lost, however, you can complain but it probably wont do any good. Depending on what they do or say, chances are, the cross is gone forever, and dont you think for 1 minute that if a guard found it and liked it, they may very well have kept it themselves....thats even if they bothered to look. Im sorry that he lost it, but chances are slim of getting it back, regardless. I know that there are some things you can do about certain things, like a call can do miracles to get a medical problem looked at, something about the public calling, hard working tax paying people...makes them get on the ball a little more then if an inmate were to complain about it... Im fixing to be making a call about Brians eyes... Anyways, Im sorry about the cross being lost..but, I dont think a call from you is going to make it magically reappear... Im glad you got to speak to him however, bad news or not..those phonecalls do help... Take care "K"

Kimbra, I figured the cross would be gone forever. But he felt so bad that I had to at least see if anyone else had similar issues. I too, figure the guards wouldn't have any problems keeping it themselves. Not to mention all the other prisoners that could have picked it up. Oh well, I guess thats just another thing I can't do nothing about.

Its amazing the things we can do nothing about...but, do your best to stay on a posative note Codys.... I know it is difficult at times, especially times like these when something special and meaningful to you has been lost..but, keep the faith...he wont always be there. "K"
