Skye Tihs suit seems to be very similar to the AZ suit that was decided in the 9th federal court of appeals in favor of the plaintiffs who took the State of AZ to court citing the violation of both prisoners and those whom they wish to correspond with first amendments rights. The US Supreme Court declined the states appeal . A sate cannot tell you or me what to say nor can they silence prisners .Only if there is a penal interest and that burden has not been met . The idea of silencing prisners is frightening . Every time states have tried to silence prisoners they have lost .

It is stunnng the ignorance and hate that some of these nice folks in FL have .Prisners do not lose their constitutional protections despite what popular myt says . sadly poel start to belive this garbage and blame the prisnrs and not the satae for makeing a law they know is going to get tossed out incourt costing the taxpayers millions and no it isnot bleeding heart judges .

I would bet the ranch if a lot of those so called tough on crime idiots were to face a prison term they would be doing everything possible to get out of it .Most of them could not do time unless they were in PC any ways . They would not last on mainline Some probably should be doing time . Then look at Oxy Contin lover Rush Limbaugh ironically from FL now . ! He should be in a federal prison doing life for that amount of oxy contin in his possession illegally .Yest that is the federal sentence for the amount he possessed . Ah the Hypocrisy.

I hope the state loses and does not appeal and waste more tax dollars on something like this when there are very serious problems to be solved or at least worked on . Imagine if they spent money to help prisoners not go back Oh that is soft on crime hard on our wallets .

Maybe after reading the hate spewed you can see why ex cons have a tough time as well as any effort to have rehabilitation in prison is very difficult to get passed your soft on crime if you do anything to help a prisoner .

Hey Guys,

Yeah, the complaint is 18 pages long I believe. There are many cases that are going to come up. We have somewhat favorable opinions in the 7th, 9th and even here in the 11th in a round about way. That Arizona case is definitely a big one too. Still, there are absolutely no guarantees. This is a legal battle. The state will not work with us. We tried that for years. This is what it's come down to. Fingers crossed, best foot forward! Let's just keep doing what we do! It will be a while before we hear anything, but I will definitely keep you guys posted. For now, it's back to work
