| Hey guys I sent an email letter about 5 days ago and was wondering when you think it would have reached the guy I sent it to. Also just wondering how long a reply would take (if he replies) from America to Australia. Just really want to hear from him before I get into serious writing. I read somewhere that some prisoners get mail delivered 2 days a month. Is that true as I read posts that seem to speak differently. |

| Prisoners in the states are allowed mail every day. If you are really eager to start communicating with him you should send it snail mail. I tried the email, then got impatient and send a letter...we were our third correspondence before he got the email. That was to a PP in california, which may be a little different because the prisons there are trying to ban the inmates from getting printed email. |

| My letters take anything from 5-10 days to recieve once posted, and as was suggested i'd drop a line in the snail trail.

| The e-mails can take a little while to get to them because as someone else mentioned they only get sent out twice a month. I know in some prisons where my pps are at that they do not receive mail on Saturday either so that can add a little bit of time. Snail mail is definitely the quicker way to go because it eliminates the waiting time for WAP to print it out and send it. |
