Juveniles In Texas:


The Juvenile inmates have been re-sentenced, and moved to the diagnostic and classification unit. They are going through the whole “where do we send them” phase right now.

They have taken them out of the systems as death row inmates. They will be issuing them new TDCJ numbers and new facility in the upcoming days. This is the TDCJ and Texas so I don’t expect a miracle here. In talks with my lawyers they say it should be 2-3 weeks before they have them in new units. However, legally they have until September to do so.

This is the downhill slope of the process. Now that they are at the diagnostic facility the ball should be rolling faster than the process has thus far. I will be in talks with our lawyers quite often over the next few days, as we are working on a write and other legal issues, so I will update you all as the process heads forward.

I spoke with classification today. The guys will be at the Byrd Unit for proessing for 2 to 3 weeks.

Their DOC#'s have changed. I had to get the new one from the prison.
