Hello all, Ive recently read books on the famous "Alcatraz" and became a bit obsessed with the whole prison thingy Infact im in email contact with a former Alcatraz inmate its great ...I dont condone ANY of thier past like most of you, but whats done is done...Reason Im here is to Ask, To Write, or Not to Write a prisoner, and if so, male or female ....Im married so dont wanna upset the misses if I wrote female, and if I write to a man, oops...will that be Gay? ...Help me out folks hehe...Im a bit nuts myself hehe.......thanks all.........Dino

hi,, it alwasy warms my heart to see someone that shows interested in writing inmates. i have been doing this for 4 years, and i would not trade it for the world. i would love to hear from you and am willing to help as much as i can, please email me,

you said your married. most of these guys as well will respect that fact, you may get some that say things, but put them in there sopt and you wil be fine, if you rather write gays i have some of those, and most of my guys came off this site. i get newbies as well every day, and i am not able to take many more, please email me and i will be more then willng to help,

I agree - it's great that you want to write to inmates! You'll enjoy it. You'll make some real friends. I am a straight male, and I write only to male inmates. Only one is gay, which I didn't even know at first. The others are definitely straight. They would prefer to write to women, but since no women are writing to them they are willing to write to anyone at all. Some were married, and even have children. When they were arrested, the wives divorced them, moved away and remarried. May I suggest, when browsing ads, be sure to choose ads that specify they are willing to write to both men and women.
