Perhaps if this inmate is searching for his child he could himself ask his attorney for assistance or suggestions.

Default Cet

I would start out tracing the mother or person that had the child. It is easier to trace an adult than a child. A child has no paper trail.

Question Not Much To Go On!!

I think CET is correct. It is easier to track the mother or legal guardian than the child.

I think the other thing you have to consider is the possibilty that there may just be a 'no contact order' on the inmate in relation to the child. If that is the case and you do the leg work in finding the child for the inmate you just might find yourself in trouble with the Courts!

Just my thoughts.

Tom

I agree with TOM!

If you have a pp who is searching for his/her child it is best to let his/her lawyer do that for him/her. The reasons are quite obvious, you could end up in a legal mess without knowing the story as to why that child needs to be found in the first place.

There is an inmate in Texas who literrally harassed me for months to help him find his son. I later found out that there was a no contact order in place between the father and son. I am very fortunate that I did not have the time to do this for him, in the beginning I was inclined to help, good heart and all but I never had the time and I am glad that for once I did not have time to help someone.

Thanks to all. I am a retired attorney and a "no contact" order was on my mind and will be sending for legal documents as soon as my PP sends me case numbers. The child's mother's last known address was a p o box but she married PP's uncle and will attempt to track her via his address, employer, etc. Was just hoping that there is some organization that can assist me in locating the uncle and/or the mother. Tx again. Sandra
