I wrote two of the inmates I had chosen . I am so excited! I just went out, got a PO Box and sent my letters out.

I can't wait to see if I get a response! I really do hope they respond. How long typically does it take to receive a 1st response? I'm guessing, about a month.

I have 2 more letters to write and those will go out tomorrow, the excitement is building!

Well, it only took 5 days for me to get my first response from my pp. I was so excited to see that letter in my mailbox and I AM stalking my mailman now. He usually gets here around 4pm but, yesterday the lousy bastage didn't get here until after 5......lol.....

You'll get letters, probably sooner than a month.

The first letter always seems to take FOREVER, honestly, it would be a week or 2, who knows but you will get a response.

I also know of a wonderful guy seeing a pal, who oddly enough, has an ad on the site, so if you feel like picking up another one, let me know, I am not stingy, and don't mind sharing. I mean, after all, he is my baby brother

And now the anticipation of the first reply...and it will come. Try to be patient it can seem like forever but it is well worth the wait.

I rolled the dice and got lucky with the first shot. Sort of. I have just one and I'm keepin' her.

Either way, it's fantastic to get the responses in the mail. I could get a letter every day and not feel at all unhappy about it.

Great news! It took me about a month to get my first replies - I'm in the UK so it's about 5-6 days to get there, a few days to sit around in the postroom, say a few days for them to write back, and then another 5-6 days to get back to me...

Ahhh, I remember those first couple of months - anxiously waiting for the postmant to arrive to bring me mail...hang on, nothing has changed in that respect! lol
