My question is how many months would you wait until you look for another pen pal.
Imagine this situation: You have enough time and enough money for stamps for lets say 5 pen pals. One of them didn't write to you for a while. How many months would you let pass and give your pp the chance to write back until you look for a new pen pal so that you have 5 pen pals again?

well i'd try maybe writing them again, just incase your letter to them or their reply got lost. And then i dont know, depends how long it usually is between letters for them normally, and whether you know if they have been busy with legal work or something maybe.

i would say i am with kittypuss - i would send a little card or something, and write to someone else in the meantime i think - but then i have lots and lots of pals...

Thank you for asking, Gobbi, no, no more hospital. As you may know, my last surgery was getting my thyroid gland out and I take L-Thyroxin hormon pills now every day. Before the surgery I had a hypofunction with all its disadvantages (I was overweight). Meanwhile my metabolism is fine and I already lost 15 kilos weight.

Brigitte - I had my thyroid gland taken out in November. I was hyperthyroid and losing weight. I am taking thyroid replacement hormone too. I feel so much better since I had my surgery. I feel like my old self again.

To me it would all depend on how often my pp wrote, how long I'd been writing him and the depth of our friendship (which is probably based on a combination of how long I've been writing and how often I receive letters).

I would definitely send a card or a note, just in case any of his/your letters have gone missing (just so that you're not both waiting for a letter that's never going to arrive).
