My Mood: | | Re: How long are your letters? I think it all depends on what is going on as far as how many pages i write sometimes its a quick hello and few inspirationally motivated words other times it may be a card or a few jokes if something big is going on or something exciting happens it might be 5 or 6 pages .I try to answer his questions but dont try to match his letters its impossible but he's the same way so it works for us |

My Mood: | | Re: How long are your letters? Five pages off my printer equals one ounce, so 3-4 pages is about average for me. When I hand write I usually do three pages, and if someone feels like they need more information on who I am (from my past) that is in 2 parts or 19 pages. Some states have a terrible one ounce rule so I have to check with each new inmate to be sure they can get the packet I send. |

| | Re: How long are your letters? Oh gosh! Our letters were commonly 12 pages long and even as many as 22 pages. We had lots to say. And, of course, one person would say something that would bring a flood of thoughts and that would bring on the "hot pen". :-)
FYI: "hot pen" is a term, used by draftsmen, to describe a person who gets so involved in whatever they are drawing that they don't even notice that it is past quitting time. |

That a good idea doing a letter in two parts, i can take a bit more time and he gets an extra letter in the post. I think i will do that from now on.
Thank you

My Mood: | | Re: How long are your letters? I have 3 'main' pals and I write about 8-10 pages a week to each. I hear from each of them once a week so I always have something to write about/to respond to. I've been writing to one for 2 years, one for a year and a half and the other will be a year in November. |

My Mood: | | Re: How long are your letters? I am new at this-as a matter of fact I have yet to get a reply from the pp I chose. I have written him 3 letters so far the count being 11 pages, 8 pages, and 7 pages. I hope he enjoys them all and I am so looking forward to his reply. I will let everyone on here know when I get a letter. Waiting is terrible! |

| | Re: How long are your letters? Well Josh and I started off at 3 or 4 pages. Now we're up to like 8 pages, sometimes 10 or 11. It all depends on whats going on in our lifes. Sometimes we just talk about stupid stuff lol. We're goofy like that. But I love to write him, I mean sometimes I feel as if it's a chore, but then once I start writing, I go into like another world. A world of just him. And I love it. |

My Mood: | | Re: How long are your letters? Hi Fairygirl...I almost fainted when my new pp sent me a 37 page letter, it took 3 envelopes and chronicled his life from birth to his incarceration...I worked on a reply for 2 weeks but in the meantime sent him postcards and cards to let him know he'd be getting a longer letter soon. This man is really a writer and knows there is no way I can match him. For my other pals, letters average 4-8 pages depending on the pal. We always have things to talk about and they are all different.
