If anyone knows the address to Iowa where we can send money orders to federal inmates that are incarcerated, i would appreciate it very much....i would like to send something to a special friend i have been corresponding with for the past year..he has spend hundreds on pre-paid phone calls, stamps, cards and stationary for letters and i would just like to send him something as a token.......he does not want to give me the address because he says that would not be man of him...please somebody help

try www.bop.gov they should list the federal prison with an address

thank u for your information..i have been to that site, and could not find the place where we send the money orders to...it is a central processing location where all federal inmates money must go through before it can be credited to their accounts...thanks again...

Carmeltwist you are very fortunate to have such a considerate pal, that's very impressive! Can't you just send a money order along with a normal letter? They will post it to his account and he will get a slip, right?

All monies for federal inmates has to be sent to the above Iowa address now. If it goes to the inmate the mailroom returns it to you. I forgot and sent money order in my pal's letter and it was sent back to me with the above address :-(

I send by phone as a lot easier I think it is Western Union and you can do it online I believe if you live in USA.Then you just have to give inamte name and numbwe, account FBOP and state DC. Your pp should be able to send you the details on how to do

You can go to WESTERN UNION..do a quick collect....The city code is FBOP State code: DC
Then all you is is his number and name..12.95 cost unless..you go to WU web site sign up to be preferred Customer..then 9.95..it is there in minutes

If you do send a money order to Iowa...Nothing in envelope BUT money order..with name and number of PP.
Put FBOP on envelope first...then under his name and number
