Default has anyone written to corcoran??
i know this question has been asked many times before, but to those who have written to corcoran does anyone know about how long it would take for a response. i sent my letter today and am already wondering when i'll get a response. i'm thinking about a month . . . right??

i have a pp in corcoran........corcoran is a city in claifornia.......like rubyredshoes said is a prison. it depends where u stay at. it take me a few days to receive a letter from my frnd in corcoran.

Someone from Corcoran just wrote to me - I received the letter Saturday, 3/15 and it was postmarked 3/11.

Let me clarify something. When I said give it a month to receive a letter, I was talking about a first letter as you don’t know if they will have stamps or anything else that is going on with them. So as a general rule, I would give it about 30 days before sending a follow up letter or going onto another inmate. I didn’t mean it would take 30 days for them to receive a letter coming across the US. At the most, that is probably about 5 business days or 3000+ miles coast to coast.

I think Corcoran is where Charles Manson is now held.

Description: One of the toughest and highest security California State prisons. Built in 1988, the Central Valley-located facility is home for 5,000 inmates, mostly from the Los Angeles area, including Charlie Manson. The Central Valley has several of the nation's superlative correctional complexes amid its arid industiral agriculture landscape.

I thought he was in San Quentin? Did he get moved? I might just have the names confused. SQ is a high profile state facility.
